Jim Remmers, Founder

Coach Jim Remmers was born in Louisville, KY.  His love for the game of basketball began in 4th grade when he played in the YMCA league and then on his grade school team.  In 1983, the Remmers family moved to St. Louis, MO.  Coach played high school basketball at DeSmet Jesuit High School.  After graduating DeSmet, Coach Remmers walked on at NCAAII Western State Colorado University and earned a full athletic and academic scholarship.  He played at Western for two years before transferring to Webster University in St. Louis, MO.  While at Webster, Coach led the team in scoring (18 ppg), finished 30th in the country for free throw percentage (90%) and was selected to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) All-Conference Team.  


While at Webster University, Coach Remmers began coaching at the Webster Groves YMCA.  Coach Remmers has also worked in the basketball programs at Kirkwood High School, St. Louis College of Pharmacy and Brentwood High School.  Coach Remmers brings the knowledge of over 20 years of experience to his organization.

What You Love Most About Basketball: Shooting! The one thing on the court everyone needs to be able to do!

What You Love Most About Coaching: Teaching players how to shoot. Learning the proper footwork, muscle memory and technique is crucial to becoming a successful basketball player.
